James Dias and his friends set out to tackle the Henley Tough Mudder after being badgered into supporting Gloucestershire Young Carers by his wife.
Annamarie pledged match-funding from her company Frog Investments Limited then she passed the baton to her husband.
James says: “Overall, we raised £2,863.75 with gift aid, which is higher than we were initially expecting.
“The mud run itself was amazingly good fun and we have an absolutely brilliant day. It was really well organised and there was a great feeling of achievement once we crossed the finish line. There was a real sense of camaraderie all around the course with everyone helping people under / over / through all the various wet and muddy obstacles. Surprising the 10,000 volts at the end was nothing compared to the pain of the arctic enema obstacle when we were plunged into an ice bath – you have never heard three grown men scream so much!”
