We have partnered with Charity Challenge to offer a number of COVID secure trips across the UK to challenge you and help you raise money for GYC!
We are blessed to have some of the most spectacular national parks, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, coastal walks and trekking trails right on our doorstep. The UK & Ireland have so much to offer; a wide variety of gorgeous scenery, and plenty of tough hills and mountains to get your heart rate up and leg muscles burning!
Experience breath-taking landscapes, incredible sights, mighty mountains and feel a huge sense of achievement as you take on a thrilling challenges in the UK in aid of Gloucestershire Young Carers. Choose your challenge and get set for what promises to be a life enhancing experience. Say yes to an incredible personal goal, whilst supporting young carers to achieve theirs.
Here are just some of the challenges you can do:
This tough one day challenge has you trekking 30 kilometres along the South West Coast Path. Whilst the distance alone would make this a tough challenge, the nature of the undulating terrain will have you ascending over 1400m of ascent, greater than climbing to the summit of Ben Nevis, along the dramatic coastline of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Brace yourself for a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as you take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m). Over the course of two days, you will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3000m. your hard work will be rewarded with spectacular view and a huge sense of achievement.
