Gloucestershire Young Carers Forum

The Gloucestershire Young Carers Forum 'Our Voice' meets regularly to discuss Young Carers issues and has representatives from all of the Young Carer groups across the county. 'Our Voice' not only plays an important part in decision making processes but also raises awareness about Young Carers.

"My name is Katie and I’m part of a group called the Forum. The Forum is made up of Young Carers from different groups. We meet up every six weeks to discuss Young Carer issues, at the moment we are inviting someone from Education to the Forum so we can put across our views on how schools should deal with Young Carers. Lucy who works in the office has designed a card about Young Carers to put in school libraries, to make children aware there are Young Carers. We are writing to Busted to invite them to the Young Carers Festival and ask if Matt would write something for our website".
