Youth Participation Officer

37 hours per week:   GYC Salary Pt 27 – 30, £25653 – £28,463

Permanent contract subject to continued funding.

We are seeking an innovative, creative, and skilled individual to join our team contributing to:

  • developing coproduction with young carers to achieve positive change
  • improving outcomes for young carers through our health and well-being programme
  • liaising with agencies, in particular education, to assist in improving their response to young carers.

Your excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills will enable you to build trusting relationships with young people and to create engaging programmes. You will be highly organised and tenacious with the strong administrative skills required to maintain regular contact with partner agencies across the county.

This is an ideal position for an energetic person passionate about the participation of young people and with a commitment to enabling young people to reach their potential.

Fundraising and Communications Officer

21 hours per week (Flexible):   GYC Salary Scale H (25 – 27) £23,336 – £25,295 pro rata.

Permanent contract subject to continued funding.

We are seeking an innovative and creative individual to join our small fundraising team delivering the fundraising, communications, and marketing work of GYC.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, confidence in the use of social media platforms together with fundraising and marketing knowledge.  In your role you will help to nurture strong relationships within the corporate and community world, raising the profile of young carers and the work of Gloucestershire Young Carers.

You will have bags of energy, be highly organised with an eye for detail and a passion and commitment to enabling young people to reach their potential.

You will represent GYC in a manner consistent with the highest professional standards reflecting GYC’s commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity and follow national and local policy in relation to safeguarding at all times.
