Young Carers Project Worker
21 hours per week £21,268 pro rata.
Permanent contract subject to continued funding.
The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of youth work for young carers across the county. You will lead a minimum of two weekly term time respite/activity young carer groups in various localities (currently Cam and Cirencester). You will work collaboratively with sessional workers, volunteers and Gloucestershire Young Carers Development Workers to achieve positive outcomes for young carers. You will also be involved in organising and delivering a program of short breaks to young carers across the county and providing one to one support to young carers as appropriate.
We are looking for an experienced worker with proven ability in communicating sensitively with children, young people and their families and in organising group activities. You will have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in the use of IT. You will need to be available for regular evening and occasional weekend work. You will preferably hold a relevant qualification (Level 3) within Youth Work/Education/Social Care/Health.

Senior / Group Workers
From £10.96 per hour including holiday pay
2.5 hours per session / 24 sessions per year term time only
To co-facilitate our respite/activity young carer groups. Vacancies exist in the Cam group (8 – 16 years) and the Cheltenham and Forest Senior Groups (11 – 16 years).
We are seeking experienced youth/play workers with proven ability in communicating sensitively with children and young people and their families and in organising group activities. The posts involve regular early evening work.
