Senior Practitioner/Team Leader

37 hours per week.  Permanent Contract
Salary: £29,883 – £31,288

The successful candidate will line manage and supervise a small team of locality workers undertaking assessment and support planning with young carers and their families. The post will also involve taking responsibility for a small case load of the most vulnerable young carers and families with complex needs.

Ideally you will:

  • have considerable experience of working with children, young people and families in the home setting
  • be a registered social worker and/or have considerable experience and skills in undertaking effective child protection work.
  • have the ability and experience to lead a small team of practitioners.

Senior Group Workers/Group Workers

£10.53 – £11.56 per hour including holiday pay

2 or 2.5 hours per session / 24 sessions per year term time only

To co-facilitate our respite/activity young carer groups.  Vacancies exist in junior and/or senior groups in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Cam and Gloucester.

Potentially the posts could be combined into a 10 hour post/8 weeks per term/

4 evenings a week (Other combinations of the posts will also be considered)

We are seeking experienced youth/play workers with proven ability in communicating sensitively with children and young people and their families, and in facilitating group activities. The posts involve regular evening and occasional weekend work.
